Chasing the Dream is a performance based pro-social docuseries, designed to mentor emerging talent from underserved communities, who have had little or no access to specialized training or professional opportunities. Each week in this 8-part series, we will introduce America to an array of talented individuals and will share their incredible stories. The focus of this show is to encourage involvement in an environment that is positive and entertaining, while serving to support gifted individuals who come from all around the country.
Each episode, in this first season of Chasing the Dream, will feature two celebrity guest stars/mentors. Each celebrity mentor will review thousands of submission videos, and each will choose one Dream Chaser to surprise with an unimaginable opportunity, to help them chase their dream! Each Dream Chaser will receive hands on training that is based on their individual talent and career goals.
In each episode, celebrity mentors will critique performances, give notes and admonitions of technical errors, and provide other assistance as needed, to help their Dream Chaser perfect their performance. At the end of each week's episode, each Dream Chaser will have an opportunity to perform before a live audience, on the Dream Chaser Stage. After their performance, each Dream Chaser will be presented with a potentially life-transforming "hand up".
The "hand up" will be unique to the Dream Chasers’ career goals, circumstances, and specific needs.
Season one of Chasing the Dream airs nationally, on Wednesdays at 8:00pm, beginning October 18th on the NBCU platforms LX Home and Peacock, and will stream on the following: Hulu, Apple TV, Roku, YouTube TV, XUMO, FuboTV, and Samsung TV Plus.
Season one of Chasing the Dream features an impressive list of celebrated, award-winning performers to mentor a select group of undiscovered talent from around the country. In each episode of this first season, celebrity mentors will provide up and coming individuals with life changing opportunities that enable them to take the next giant leap toward a successful career of their choice.
